AZ/DZ Driver

The Henderson Group is seeking a reliable and experienced AZ/DZ Driver to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This position requires heavy equipment operation, a valid commercial driver’s license and an abstract. You must also keep your medical updated with your license.

This is a full-time role as an AZ/DZ Driver at Henderson Group based in Port Hope, ON.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Drive dump truck for low level clean up or as required for other projects (Manual and/or
  • Automatic)
  • Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks
  • Transport goods and materials to designated locations
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
  • Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and inspection reports

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid commercial DZ or AZ driver’s license (min 3yrs)
  • Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
  • Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
  • Clean abstract
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
